Jubilee–platform for artistic research

On Friday 11 September the BARN Core Team organizes a new Brussels Artist-Run Tour: three stops, each about 45 minutes, to get to know the initiatives, the people behind them, their ways of working, their drives, challenges, solutions and values. Each of these spaces also has an exhibition on view, so we will certainly spend time with them!

The knowledge shared during these informal conversations is part of BARN’s research into the modes of operation of artist-run spaces, a ‘soft collective mapping’ of the artistic scene in Brussels.

As always, these are informal moments to get to know these spaces and the people that run them, what makes them special and how they manage to do what they do! We are making plans to have a Brussels Artist-Run Hangout after the visits, a great moment to get to know people and the BARN Core Team in particular.

20h Artist-Run Hangout
The Tour will be followed by a Hangout at Komplot. During this informal moment to meet and talk, have food and drinks together, you can hang out with the team of Komplot and the BARN Core Team and understand better what we do and why. Most of all, this is an opportunity to chat, reach out for a collaboration, and have fun!
