Art Rotterdam Intersections
The Balcony invites Adele Dipasquale, Atlas of Ovens and Arjun Das at Art Rotterdam
28 – 30/03/2025
The Balcony is participating in Art Rotterdam, in the section Intersections at the new location Ahoy. The Balcony is an exhibition and curatorial platform based in The Hague, founded in 2018 by Arthur Cordier & Valentino Russo. The Balcony curates exhibitions supporting the presentation of upcoming practices with a focus on alternative formats of display, keen on collaborations and often unconventional locations.
The presentation at Art Rotterdam closely follows their first Chapter of their new program Extractive Imagination(s), opening on 7 March. The trio exhibition format includes works by Adele Dipasquale, Atlas of Ovens (Clémentine Vaultier, Maximiliaan Royakkers and Ciel Grommen), and Arjun Das, and explores the concept of extraction of warmth for the creation of mystery, communal bonds, and storytelling.
The artists of Atlas of Ovens present a carousel of images, a circular lecture diving into their Atlas and guiding the visitors through the theme ‘Gathering around’.
