Seasonal Work: Learning in Common
Stijn Van Dorpe and Elien Ronse take part in ‘Seasonal Work: Learning in Common’, a commons-based summer school, working process and exhibition at Clublokaal in Breda, running from 2026 to 2027
Through the para-institute for art and precarity (pkp), Stijn and Elien explore how precarity can be a starting point for collective organisation, artistic imagination and shared knowledge production.
At Clublokaal, they work from the local context and the encounters that emerge there, paying attention to networks, dependencies and reciprocity. They approach art as a ‘commonspace’: a space that takes shape through collective practices, where questions of where, with whom and by whom art is made and experienced become central.
Other participants include Lieke Mangindaan, Marjet Zwaans, Shuang Xu, shared grounds (Kate Price and Guillem S. Arquer), as well as other collectives, researchers and artists.
