Vincent Meessen joins scientific commitee of CAPARC

Vincent Meessen has joined the scientific board of CAPARC, a new non-profit organisation devoted to preserve contemporary artists’s archives in the French-speaking community and the Brussels Region

The board of administrators is composed by representatives of various contemporary art institutions including MACS, BPS22, Musée de la Photographie and Kanal.

A representative of  CKV, the Flemish-speaking community parent organization, is part of the scientific committee as well as representatives from Archives de Littérature Moderne (ALM), Etopia archival center and Walter Leblanc Foundation.

Edition Lebeer-Hosmann (Hamburg-Brussels, 1972–2024) which published books and art editions by Acconci, Boltanski, Brecht, Broodthaers, Cadere, Charlier, Darboven, Filliou, Knowles, Paik, Roth, Sarkis, Spoerri, Wery and many others is  the first archive to be preserved.

Initiated by art historian and curator Raphaël Pirenne joined by curator Charlotte Friling as second member of the operational team, CAPARC starts the inventory of the publisher’s archive in the summer of 2026.
